| Job Centre Plus | There are a variety of free advice services for anyone who is unwaged. Most can be accessed through your local Job Centre Plus. |
| Connexions Direct | If you are aged 13 to 19, you can use the Connexions service for free careers advice. They have advisers in all schools & colleges. This is the national web site, but there are local offices everywhere. |

| North East Nextstep | North East Nextstep offer free careers advice and guidance for some adults aged 20+ in the area who have not yet achieved a first full level 2 qualification. |
